This exact model was purchased for my Dad Christmas 1974, When he passed in 1991 it was passed down to me. Here it is almost 2010 and I still use this lighter everyday.To my knowledge it has never been repaired and still works and looks great.
What a ringing endorsement for this product. 35 years of service and still going.

I remember buying this lighter as a Christmas present to my mother in 1974. I had to jump through hoops to get it, because they weren't going to sell a teenager a lighter, but I got it in the end. I had it personalized for her by putting her initials on the side. Today, that lighter is still in use, a testament to the quality of Zippo. thank you for an enduring reminder of my past.
